Personal training at home, anywhere in the Philippines

One coach, one client, in your sala, your garage, your condo gym or your clubhouse. The coach brings the equipment; you bring a mat and two square metres of floor. Anywhere in the Philippines. In-person coaching where a coach is within reach; online coaching everywhere else.

In person in Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac, Bataan, Metro Manila, Laguna and nearby Luzon. Anywhere else in the Philippines, the same first session and written plan run through online coaching.

What you need at home

  • About 2 x 2 metres of floor
  • A mat
  • The coach brings bands, dumbbells or kettlebells as agreed

Transport charged by distance. Quote after a short assessment.

What you need at home

Less than most people think. A clear patch of floor about two metres by two metres, a mat, and somewhere the coach can put a bag down. A ceiling fan helps in the afternoon. That is the whole list.

The coach brings what the session needs: resistance bands, a pair of dumbbells or a kettlebell, sometimes a step. What comes on a given day is agreed in the written plan, so nothing turns up that you did not expect. If you have a condo gym, the coach uses it and leaves the bag in the car.

  • A living room with the coffee table moved is enough for most sessions.
  • A garage with the car out is the most common spot in Pampanga and Bulacan.
  • A condo unit works with a mat and bands; the building gym adds machines.

What the first session includes

The first session is an assessment with a gentle workout at the end. It runs about an hour and it is where the quote comes from, because the coach needs to see how you move before saying what the programme should be.

The consultation covers your week (work, commute, sleep, who cooks), any pain or history, and what you actually want. The movement screen is a squat, a hinge, a push, a pull, a carry and a balance test, watched and noted. Then goals are agreed and written, and you get a plan you keep on your phone or on paper.

The first session, in order

  • Consultation: your week, your goal, any pain or history
  • Movement screen: squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, balance
  • Goals agreed and written down
  • A written plan you keep

How sessions run week to week

Most people train with the coach twice a week, at a fixed day and time, and follow the written plan on one or two other days on their own. Sessions are usually an hour; seniors sessions are shorter. Early morning is the most common slot because of the heat, and it also means the session is done before the day gets away from you.

Every session is written up at the end: what you did, at what weight, and what the next one is. The plan changes every few weeks as things get easier. If a week goes wrong (a sick child, a brownout, a work trip), the coach adjusts the plan instead of pretending the week did not happen.

If you move, or your schedule changes, the coach can switch you to online coaching, which covers the whole Philippines, or add a family member to make it a small group.

Who trains at home with Fit Bud

One-on-one at home is the base. These pages describe how it changes for a group, a goal or a stage of life.

What personal training at home costs

There is no price list on this site, and that is deliberate. A beginner doing two mornings a week in Angeles is a different job from a strength block in a Makati condo gym, and a quote that ignores the difference is a guess. After the first session the coach sends a written quote for the programme you actually need.

A transportation charge applies to in-person sessions and is quoted by distance. There is no price list: you get a quote after a short assessment. The blog explains what moves the price up or down, without numbers, so you know what you are being quoted for.

  • One person or a small group
  • Distance travelled, as a transport charge

Questions about training at home

How much floor space do I need?

About two by two metres. Enough to lie down with your arms out and to lunge forward. A sala with the coffee table moved is usually enough.

Do I need to buy equipment?

No. A mat is the only thing we ask for. The coach brings bands, dumbbells or kettlebells as agreed in your plan. If you later want your own set, the coach will say which two things are worth buying.

What does it cost?

There is no price list. You get a quote after a short assessment, in writing. A transportation charge applies to every in-person session and is quoted by distance from the coach’s base in Pampanga.

Can the coach come early in the morning or late at night?

Early mornings are the most common slot, because of the heat. Evenings work too. Tell us the days and times in the form and we will say what is possible in your area.

What if I live in a condo with rules about visitors?

Register the coach as a guest the way you would any visitor. Most buildings allow trainers in the gym; a few ask for a note to admin. We have not had a building refuse.

Send your area, your goal and where you want to train. The coach replies with a few questions and, after the first session, a written quote.
